Chip Vac picks up dry or wet chips and delivers them directly to an ordinary 55, 30 or 5 gallon drum (open head steel, fiber or plastic drum in good condition). A steel drum with nominal thickness of 1.5mm (16 gauge) is recommended. To prevent material contamination, a poly drum liner can be inserted into the drum.

Chip Vac can be removed easily and placed onto another drum to keep different materials separate for recycling. Chip Vac is idea for machining centers, lathes, saws, mills and other industrial equipment.

How the Chip Vac Works: (click on thumbnail image above)

Compressed air, 80-100 PSIG, flows through the inlet (1) into an annular plenum chamber (2). It is then injected into the throat through directed nozzles (3). These jets of air create a vacuum at the intake (4) which draws material in, accelerates it through the unit (5), and directs it to the bottom of the drum. The airflow exhausts through the port in the drum lid. Airborne particles are trapped by the 0.1 micron filter bag (6).
