The
Aquaflame Systems 500, 800 and
1200 systems produce hydrogen and oxygen by
the electrolysis of deionized water, in the ratio such that the
hydrogen can be burnt in the oxygen. This produces a high energy
heat source that is highly controllable and efficient.
The only other by-product is water, making it truly efficient and
environmentally safe.

The clean flame and precise control make the Aquaflame Systems
idea for edge-polishing or removing light scratches from Acrylics, even intricate shapes, in a
single quick operation. Can also be used for micro-soldering
circuit boards, medical instruments, jewelry and dental repairs.
(See our brochures in the Video & Docs tab above for detailed information on this product)
Chemicals must be obtained from chemical supplier.
Once the machine is filled it is ready to use. Does
not require gas cylinders, so no need to store them.
Only the addition of deionised water and Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone (MEK) from time to time is required. The
fractional cost of these chemicals compared to gas will
mean long-term cost savings.

Chemicals required:
Model 500: 300 grams Potassium Hydroxide Reagent grade cyrstals, 1.75 liters deionised water and 1 quart MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone).
Model 800: 600 grams Potassium Hydroxide Reagent grade crystals, 3.5 liters deionised water and 1 quart MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone).
Model 1200: 1200 grams Potassium Hydroxide Reagent grade crystals, 5.25 liters deionised water and 1 quart MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone).
Manufacturer of the alloy should provide guidance and instruction regarding the flux to be used with that alloy. A low temp soldering is preferred rather than the high temp soldering for Stainless steel wire to prevent carbide precipitation and to prevent an excessive softening of the wire. So silver solders are generally preferred.
Purpose of flux is to remove any oxide coating on the substrate metal surface when the filler metal is fluid and ready to flow into place. They protect the alloy surface from oxidation during soldering and dissolve metallic oxides as they are formed. The resulting solution of oxides or other extraneous matter in flux constitutes “slag”.
Aquaflame Systems produces an oxyhydrogen flame by electrolysis – the gas is produced on demand and at low pressure. The machine is small, low capital cost and low maintenance.
Aquaflame machines are high performance oxyhydrogen gas-generating units producing a high temperature precision flame – in the range 1200-3300°C (2200°F – 6000°F) used for soldering and welding items.
Using a standard electrical supply, hydrogen and oxygen are produced by the electrolysis of distilled water such that the hydrogen can be burnt in the oxygen.
The oxyhydrogen gas is passed through an MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) solution which reduces the temperature to about 1850°C (3350°F) and transforms the flame to a blue / yellow color. The flame is a highly controllable, efficient high energy heat source. The only product of this process, other than energy, is water.
The Aquaflame Systems is safe as it only produces gas as required; it is also efficient, clean and environmentally friendly. Aquaflame is truly a remarkable soldering /welding machine.
Aquaflame Systems is also referred to as a water torch, micro weld (microweld), mini welder, Micro Flame, Aqua torch, Hydroflame. Hydrogem, Jewel Flame, Klein Weld.
